Oh my! It appears to be official now. Little Big Planet 2 is no longer just a rumour now and based on what I have been reading it seems to be quite an ambitious title.
The first Little Big Planet was a simple platformer with a pretty robust yet simplistic level editor mode which was released little more than a year ago. The upcoming sequel is going to be more than just that. Media Molecule is implementing new tools that will enable players to create racing games, puzzle games, arcade shooters, role-playing games and even real-time strategy games, how cool is that?!.
As amazing as it sounds it makes me wonder whether all of this could have just been DLC and patched into the first game. Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves whether the new features justify a new BD purchase.
